IRC Seattle Small Business Program

The IRC Seattle Small Business Program provides free business counseling and start up support to entrepreneurs in the Seattle Metropolitan Area, with a particular focus on immigrant and refugee populations in South King County. The Seattle Small Business Team will assist entrepreneurs with business planning, licensing and registration, and making referrals to more specialized services provided by community partners. The Small Business Team works in partnership with our Financial Coach, to ensure that entrepreneurs also receive credit education and coaching on the path to becoming ready to take on business financing through the IRC’s CDFI – the Center for Economic Opportunity. The IRC Seattle Small Business Program regularly hosts both virtual and in person workshops in a variety of languages that are open to entrepreneurs from any background. The IRC Seattle Small Business Program also offers specialized programs targeted for women’s economic empowerment, including childcare training for newly arrived Afghans and a sewing training program.

The IRC Seattle Small Business program is a connector with the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber and Port of Seattle Community Business Connector Program. You can request business assistance at this website –
